Our faith formation is central to who we are here at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy. School Liturgies are planned by the campus ministers once a month, on a weekday, throughout the school year. Every liturgy involves full student participation, from the lectors to the cantors, from a gathering rite to the altar servers. Donations from the monthly outreach projects are offered and blessed at the liturgies as a living sign of Eucharist and their faith in action. In addition to the monthly liturgies in school, there are also two NFAPA liturgies; one in the fall and one during the Advent season. For specific dates of NFA liturgies, please consult the activities calendar. NFA also has a full student choir which is made up by roughly 60 students each year; stretching from fourth through eighth grade. The choir sings at each liturgy, and some of the older students are asked to be song leaders. Our choir is often asked to sing for special occasions outside of school; whether it be a NFAPA liturgy or our groundbreaking ceremony. Norwood-Fontbonne Academy fosters active experience of the liturgical seasons through prayer, classroom exercises, visuals and reflection.
